Partners

We are grateful for the support of our program ambassadors.

CHSC ambassadors which include our partner organizations, advisors to students and clinicians, and safety net clinic recruiters help reduce health disparities and improve health access across Colorado by reaching potential applicants with information about our incentive program and the critical need for clinicians in medically underserved communities.

How We Measure Success

Because the CHSC is expanding access to care in Colorado, we measure success not only by the number of providers we recruit into shortage areas with the loan repayment incentive, but also by the number of those who:

  • Stay at the same practice site after their CHSC obligation is completed.

  • Continue serving in the same shortage area, even if at a different site or for a new employer.

  • Continue to work with publicly insured, underinsured, and uninsured populations in Colorado, apart from the initial employment site or community where the CHSC service obligation was completed.

High Retention Rates

47%

of active participants intend to continue to work in an underserved setting for 7 more years

77%

of alumni have been retained at a CHSC-eligible clinic site

93%

of active participants intend to stay at their clinic site for a year or more after their contract expires
